There is a family campground here with a separate horse camp very close. A few desert shrubs supplement the Joshua trees some of which assume fascinating twisted forms. Sites are open, vary in size and are on sand and gravel. The road is paved. There are fire pits. Hills surround the campground. Fees are collected by the ranger.
