Notes about Ochlockonee River State Park
This is a lovely park with a swimming beach in the gorgeous day use area, along with picnic tables and shelters. The large sites are shaded and there is a variety of vegetation and wildlife, including the white squirrels, a distinct variety of the great eastern squirrel. The ground is covered in a fine white sand layer. Firepits and barbecue grills are at the sites. Canoes and bikes can be rented. Reservations are accepted.
Directions
About 4.5 mi. south of Sopchoppy on Sopchoppy Highway, then about 1.5 mi. east on state park road.
