Notes about Itasca State Park - Bear Paw Campground

There are two campgrounds in this breathtakingly beautiful park. One is Bear Paw, and it consists entirely of walk-in sites. The campsites are on gravel with grass and tall trees between them. Many of the sites have a good view of Lake Itasca. There are animal proof locker at each walk in site. Carts are available to help you carry your supplies to the walk in sites. Two wheelchair accessible sites are available Other enjoyable visitor facilities include Douglas Lodge and Restaurant, Mary Gibbs Mississippi Headwaters Center, Forest Inn and the Jacob V. Brower Visitor Center.
