This is a very beautiful park with a number of camping areas. Bearspaw Campground is in a parklike setting, well-grassed with many ash trees for shelter at the power-only sites. The lawns are well-maintained and irrigated. There are many gravel pads for parking. Although fairly close, the sites are very pleasant. There are mostly-paved roads throughout. Some washrooms have individual lockable rooms with shower, toilet and sink. Elsewhere, there are shower stalls in the public restrooms which are big and airy. There is a marina near a cluster of homes at the water's edge (Lake Diefenbaker). In the valley. The sites are large and well-separated, arranged in loops, amid vegetation. At Riverside Campground, the power sites are arranged fairly closely in rows, and are quite open. Nighthawk Campground also has serviced sites with views of the folded hills. The setting is parklike, the trees smaller offering shade but not a lot of shelter. Within the park are a seasonal area, an unserviced campground and an equestrian campground. It should be noted that the water is fresh and delicious. The campground is open from the beginning of May to the end of September.
