There is a campground and RV park in Beaverlodge and many more in the surrounding area.
This small city, with a population of 2,176 is home to the Beaverlodge Beaver, which, at over 3,000 lbs. is the world's largest. The display can be found at the Beaverlodge Cultural Centre, 512-5 Avenue. Located in Peace Country, a region of Alberta, Beaverlodge affords vacation ideas such as trail riding, pack trips, fishing, canoeing and sightseeing in a relaxing setting. The Riverbend Golf Course and Country Club offers another possibility for a pleasant day. The South Peace Centennial Museum with its pioneer village format features restored farm and rail equipment, carriages, cars and buildings. Its most recent addition is a genuine grain elevator, the beloved and familiar symbol of the farming country of the prairies.
