Heisler, Alberta

Heisler is a village in central Alberta between Daysland to the south and Forestburg to the north, named for settler Martin Heisler, who donated the land the village is built on. The community prides itself for its traditions, open spaces, fresh air, and opportunities to become involved in making the community better. In one of these efforts, Heisler has been paired itself with 2007 Communities in Bloom winner, Forestburg, and the two are working together for another win. An additional source of pride is the fact that all streets are named for Alberta premiers, a practice which has resulted in the other name for Heisler, Premier Village.
