Tombstone, Arizona

This small city celebrates the history which makes its name famous. There are daily re-enactments of the Gunfight at the Okay Corral and the look of the place is Old West, with buildings dating from the 1880s, some restored and some intact, looking fragile.

On the third weekend of October, things get even more active than usual when the Helldorado celebration take place. A street carnival, street shows, gunfight re-enactments and a family-oriented carnival are part of the goings-on. But even before it starts, roads are blocked off, locals dress in Old West get-up.

There are quite a few places to stay in town and there are tourists wandering around the shops and restaurants to keep them busy.
