100 Mile House, British Columbia

Both a full service RV park and an unserviced campground are witin the town of 100 Mile House.

This centre, with a population of just under 2,000, served as a rest stop on the Cariboo Wagon Road after 1863 when gold was struck. Its name comes from its distance from Lillooet (at mile 0), along the so-called Gold Rush Trail. It is still an important service and commercial area in the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast region of BC. The town has a lot to offer the fisherman, golfer, camper, wildlife fancier, horseback rider, hunter, cross-country skier and snowmobiler, and also local fine dining, art and business opportunities, as well as unique shopping venues.
