Carlton, Minnesota

Carlton is a small city of 854. The proximity of Lake Superior with its tourist value and the moniker, Gateway to Jay Cooke State Park, have helped Carlton to grow steadily in the first 14 years of the 21st century. A recent vote will result in the consolidation of Thomson and Carlton. Thomson is a short distance east of Carlton on a joining road called Chestnut Avenue.

There is a KOA Campground almost next door to Carlton and the Jay Cooke State Park is also not far off.

Carlton is pretty adorable and the scenery around there is gorgeous. The local Chamber of Commerce describes the city as having many fine restaurants, excellent businesses and first-rate community events.
