Rockglen, SK

Rockglen is a very small town which appears to have a lot of community spirit, judging by its activity and the number of people visibly involved in activity during a drive-through of it. It does not meet the criteria of a sleepy little town! There is a well-stocked, airy and clean Co-op store, a town campground with a scrupulously clean bathroom, and thoughtful and thorough signage.

The South Country Recreation Area Trailer Park has a delightful setting beside a re-purposed railway station and is well-cared for, although its small size will make it unsuitable for larger rigs. A small regional park is not far away, and provides larger unserviced and power sites for tenting and RVs. Here you can go boating on Grant Lake.

Situated in the Wood Mountain Uplands, one of the few unglaciated areas in northern North America, Rockglen is of interest to naturalists, geologists and paleontologists for its ancient rock and indications of early civilization.
