With its rich agricultural land, rolling hills, mixed forest and numerous lakes, Porcupine Plain is in one of the province's loveliest areas. It has an established reputation for hunters of large and small game. There are resorts, golf clubs, provincial and regional parks within easy driving distance. If it's a picnic you have in mind, there are three parks in town, all with playground facilities. Visit Porcupine Plain Museum for a look at the history of early life of the region, which was settled against difficult odds.
