Lucky Lake is a town of under 500 inhabitants in the Regina region of Saskatchewan and is also close to the city of Swift Current, SK. There is a Ducks Unlimited Project here, called Lucky Lake Heritage Marsh, where wildlife is plentiful. The largest ferry in Saskatchewan passes between the communities of Lucky Lake and Riverhurst on a 24-hour basis. One of the areas mainstay industries is the raising of horses for shows and trail-riding. Like so many small Saskatchewan towns, Lucky Lake has supplied past players to the NHL, in this case, Darin Kimble and Dave Schultz.
