Rockport, Texas

The city of Rockport has many RV parks, a large percentage of which are for long-term guests only and more with a large section for long-term or seasonal campers, in addition to overnight campers. This is because of the excellent climate which is so popular with the snowbirds from regions farther north.

At least 6 parks offer overnight sites. These are Ancient Oaks RV Park, Circle W RV Park, Happy Camper RV Resort, Raintree RV Park, Rockport 35 RV Park and Woody Acres MH and RV Resort.

Highway 35 is a main artery along which there are many businesses of interest to tourists--such as chain restaurants, car repair centers and malls. However, finding a good place for breakfast is not easy.

The waterfront on the Pacific Ocean is pretty and there are stores and hotels near by. Near to these is a slightly old-fashioned section of town with pastel-fronted stores, but, sadly, no early morning eateries.

Nearby Fulton is a community which is almost indistinguishable from Rockport. Quite a few RV parks are in Fulton as well. While driving about, you can pass back and forth between Rockport and Fulton without knowing it.
